2023 Asia Cup Super 4s-1 PAK vs SL

The 16th men’s Asia Cup, which takes place as One Day Internationals (ODIs) and is co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, is also known as the Super 11 Asia Cup due to sponsorship reasons. Six teams are competing in the competition. It will take place from August 30 to September 17, 2023. The reigning champions are Sri Lanka. It is the first 2023 Asia Cup to be hosted in several nations, with four matches taking place in Pakistan and the other nine matches taking place in Sri Lanka.

The competition includes the five full participants of the Asian Cricket Council: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Nepal, who entered by lifting the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup, has now joined them. The competition will be contested in a “hybrid format” for the first time, with the games being organized in two nations.

Except for India, who declined to go to Pakistan because the Indian Government disapproved, all teams will play at least a few games there. The dates and format of the competition were confirmed when the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) released its route structure and calendar for 2023 and 2024 in January 2023. The COVID-19 pandemic forced a postponement of the event from its original 2021 date to 2023. On July 19, 2023, the schedule for the competition was released.
